Random
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
Charaka Karawita provides Random (the “App”). This policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared when you use the App.
Information stored on your device
Custom lists, names, wheel configurations, selected photos, preferences, and generator history are stored locally on your device. The App’s analytics events do not include the contents of your lists, entered text, selected photos, generated passwords, or other generated results.
If you export or share content, it is provided to the destination you choose. Device backups may also include locally stored App data, depending on your Apple settings.
Analytics and diagnostics
We use PostHog to understand how the App is used and to identify errors and improve reliability.
Information collected may include app-generated user and installation identifiers, device model, operating-system version, App version, timestamps, features used, interaction counts, operation durations, premium-screen interactions, and purchase outcomes. Error reports may include crash information, technical details, and a limited record of preceding App actions.
These records can be associated with the same installation or user identifier over time. They are not necessarily anonymous, even though you do not need to provide your name or create an account.
Session replay and automatic capture of interface text are disabled. PostHog’s IP-based location enrichment is also disabled. Service providers may receive your IP address when your device connects to their servers.
Purchases and premium access
Apple processes payments. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, manage premium access, restore purchases, display subscription offers, and understand subscription performance.
RevenueCat may process an app-generated customer identifier, product identifiers, transaction records, purchase and renewal dates, subscription status, trial eligibility, and related technical information. We do not receive your payment-card details.
The App associates its PostHog identifier with RevenueCat so purchase and subscription events can be connected with App analytics.
Advertising attribution and tracking permission
The App does not display third-party advertisements. We may advertise Random through Apple Ads and use Apple’s AdServices framework and RevenueCat to understand which campaigns lead to downloads and subscriptions.
The App sends an Apple attribution token to RevenueCat. RevenueCat uses it to request attribution information from Apple, which may include campaign, ad group, keyword, country or region, and download-related information. This information can be associated with your RevenueCat customer record to measure advertising performance.
The App may request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, Apple may provide more detailed attribution information, including an ad click or impression timestamp. If you decline, standard Apple Ads attribution may still be available. Learn about RevenueCat’s Apple Ads attribution.
The current App does not explicitly collect Apple’s advertising identifier, known as IDFA. Declining tracking permission does not prevent you from using the App or purchasing premium access.
You can review or change tracking permission in your device’s Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking. This setting does not disable ordinary App analytics, diagnostics, or purchase processing.
Service providers and information sharing
We use Apple, RevenueCat, and PostHog for the purposes described in this policy. Information may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States.
You can review their privacy information here:
Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights, investigate misuse, or maintain security.
Data retention and your choices
Locally stored information remains on your device until you remove it through available App controls or delete the App. Copies may remain in device backups or files you have exported.
Analytics, diagnostic, and purchase records may remain with service providers according to their retention settings and applicable obligations. Deleting the App does not automatically delete information already transmitted to those services or cancel an Apple subscription.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal information. Contact us to make a request. We may need additional information to locate records associated with your App installation.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings.
Support requests
If you email us, we receive your email address and any information you include. We use this information to respond to your request and provide support.
Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Security
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Links to other websites
The App may link to websites or services operated by others. Their privacy policies apply when you use those services. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the App or its data practices change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
